Love and Horror™  Amy

About the Woman with the Love and Horror™!
The Scream Queens Bio:

Amy Williamson has been interested in the Paranormal from an early age, but began to formally research it at the age of 16. Amy surmises there are two types of people in the paranormal, the first is the one that had a life shattering event that was paranormal in nature, the second is the person that for some inexplicable reason seems to eat, sleep, and breathe paranormal activities. Amy considers herself to be the latter of the two! She remembers reading ghost stories at night and crawling into bed with her mother because she was afraid of the “bump” in the night. When her mother questioned her as to why did she scare herself, she didn’t know. But she knew she would never stop reading and investigating the paranormal!

While earning her Bachelors of Art in Sociology, with a minor in Psychology and Communications, Amy split the remaining time between Theater and Broadcast Journalism which encompassed being an on-air radio personality for both WOCR and ParaWomenRadio. Amy has maintained a career working with Women in the Social Services field for over 13 years. Amy proudly states that she is a social worker to the living by day and a social worker to the dead by night!

From the haunted mind of Amy Williamson sprung of The League Of Extraordinary Paranormal Women ™! In 2007 Amy noticed that women in the paranormal were plentiful, however it seemed that men were taking center stage. She approached the 4 other women in her paranormal group and asked what they thought about creating a group that supported and highlighted women in the paranormal. The concept of The League Of Extraordinary Paranormal Women ™ has a seed in the comic book superhero teams like, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Justice League of America, Legion of Super-Heroes and the Justice Society. Even the title "Extraordinary Paranormal Women" evokes Marvel's X-Men. However, the characters in THIS League are Women and mainly from stranger then true paranormal reality, not comics.

The League Of Extraordinary Paranormal Women ™ is for Women, about Women, and supporting Women in all areas of the Paranormal fields including investigators, authors, writers, editors, artists, filmmakers, screenwriters, actresses, and musicians. Please don't mistake us, we love our Men, however we support all Women in the paranormal here! The League Of Extraordinary Paranormal Women ™ also offers paranormal conferences under the sir name “A Haunting Experience”, we offer hauntingly good times that includes lectures, paranormal investigations, ghost walks, séances and more! Our next “Haunting Experience” will take place in the fall of 2008, it will be called “A Victorian Haunting Experience”! It will take place in a Victorian museum and will hearken back to the days of a Victorian Spiritualism Experience!

ParaWomenRadio was next born (this was a seedling from The League of Extraordinary Paranormal Women)."ParaWomenRadio, no silly girl talk about clothing and makeup here! These Dark Darlings, Amy and Kristy, delve into the bizarre, the strange, and the supernatural! With other extraordinary women in the paranormal!" Each Thursday night Amy Co/hosts ParaWomenRadio, with Kristy Robinett, and gets the honor of speaking with Extraordinary Women in the Paranormal (paranormal meaning just not of the "norm") that includes psychics, paranormal investigators, natural healers, hypnotherapists, actresses, artists, writers and the list goes on!

Known as the “Scream Queen” in certain circles, recently Amy was invited to be on WolfMan Mac's Nightmare Sinema, based in the Detroit area. Amy created her own character, writes her scripts and is popularly known as Dr. Jacklyn Hyde, the split personality movie reviewer who loves and hates the movies she reviews! She has reviewed such movies as the new “Halloween”, Directed by the ever ghoulish Rob Zombie, the unforgettable “Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street”, The bloody Alaskan vampire movie “30 days of night”, and the alien (or was it Godzilla) epic “Cloverfield”! What is Nightmare SINema you might ask? Remember the good 'ol days of the Ghoul, Sir Graves Ghastly, and CountScary? Well, they're comin' back! Movies like Vincent Prices "House on Haunted Hill", "Plan 9 From Outer Space", "The Brain That Wouldn't Die", and more, are enhanced with the showing of retro TV commercials, cheesy skits and music videos that you remember growing up with. And in the “B” cheesy horror movie tradition Amy plays other characters (and we don’t try to cover up the fact that we are the same cast of people playing different roles). Recently Amy was seen as an sharp tongued alien from “Plan 9 From Outer Space”, and was asked to play a Campy Woman who falls for a Triffid in “Day of the Triffids”! Who knows what movie Dr. Jacklyn Hyde will love (or hate) next, or what crazy character Amy will walk on screen next as! Amy hopes to do more television (and even movies in the near future), as acting is her passion! Infact she recently earned two roles on the upcoming TV show The Midnight Hour as well as being cast as an extra in the new Drew Barrymore Film "Whip It"! And as a side note, Amy is active in her local Community Theater (she holds a seat on the Theater Board) and has performed in many of their productions.

In 2005, Amy formed a paranormal Investigation group, Haunted Hillsdale. At the same time she began filming a documentary in which she profiles the group investigating haunted locations in the county of Hillsdale Michigan. Recently the documentary has wrapped shooting and is in post production. It is important to note that Amy has secured a film editor that has quite the resume, which includes working on dark horror films such as “American Gothic” and animated gems that include “Horton Hears a Who” and “The Simpson’s Movie”! The documentary is scheduled for screening in the fall of 2008. Amy hopes to enter the documentary, “Haunted Hillsdale, We’ll Be Seeing You In All the DARK Places”, in many film festivals around the country! In addition to filming her documentary, Amy is an avid movie script writer in the genres of Horror and Off-beat Comedy; she has recently been approached by Stone Garden Publishing House to write her first non fiction novel that dabbles in the paranormal arena. Amy also is going on her first lecture circuit this summer and fall where she will be speaking to others on “So You Want To Be A Paranormal Investigator; the In’s and Out’s of Paranormal Investigation”. Amy also teaches a Pocket Pendulum Class where people make their own pendulums and teaches them how to use it in everyday life as well as paranormal investigations!

Amy is available for TV and Film roles. She is interested in all media appearances whether it be TV, Radio, or even Internet! Amy is also available as a guest speaker at conferences and festivals!

Be sure to check out her Appearances-Roles page on her web site for a more detailed list of her acting roles thus far!
